Welcome to Spently!

Spently powers all of your transactional emails you send through Shopify. The easiest way to start driving repeat purchases to your store is to set up your Store Emails. Our merchants typically see a 15% increase in total store sales!

Here is the full list of the emails we power. The ones highlighted in green are the most popular emails your customers will interact with.


To make sure you get set up as soon as possible, this article has been broken down into 4 parts:

1. Accessing the builder.

Setting up your store emails is super easy! From your Spently dashboard click on the “Quick Create” click down menu and select “Store Emails”. You will be able to find this at the top right hand corner of the screen. Can’t find this? Check out this quick video of how to do this.

2. Adding your brand settings.
If you’re doing this for the first time, the Spently builder will help you pull in your
logo, brand colours and social links. Don’t worry! You will always be able to change these later.

Once you’ve done this, a theme will be suggested to you. You can either choose this theme or explore others. Don’t see your theme here? The team is working hard to add more themes to our library. All Spently features are available on each theme and you don’t have to worry about being limited by your theme choice. These base themes are the starting point for creating your perfect store emails. In this video example, I will choose the Turbo-Portland theme.

3. Creating your store notifications.
Now that you’ve chosen your base theme, it’s time to get started designing your store emails! The Spently builder allows you to “drag and drop” features so you do not need to be a HTML developer to get the most out of transactional emails.

Each email template by default comes with our recommendations of marketing sections. This could be in the form of various product recommendations, discounts or referral sections. Feel free to configure these as you see fit, swap them out, or remove them.

On the left side of the builder, you will see a list of all of the emails you can customize. You can navigate through these by clicking on the appropriate email name. The Spently builder makes it super easy to customize all of these emails at once! You can do this by using the Theme Settings on the right hand side of the builder.

The Theme Settings will make changes to all of the templates you are customizing. In the video below you will see an example of how to create all of your store emails in no time at all. It’s really that easy!

Keep in mind your store emails are the highest opened emails you can send your customers, so using marketing components is a great way to drive repeat sales.

Once you have created all your store emails you will arrive at an export all screen. This is where you will copy the html for each email template to be pasted into your Shopify Notification settings in your Shopify dashboard. Simply select the email you want to export, click “Copy to clipboard” and select the green "Click here" hyperlinked text to be taken to the right page in your Shopify dashboard. Replace the HTML that is there, with the Spently HTML we provide you, send a test email, and hit save. The email is now live and will be sent to your customers as soon as prompted. It’s that easy! Repeat the process for the remaining templates to ensure that all of your templates are now live on your store. There is also a handy video on this page showing you how to do this.
